Job Description:

Join a team-based Labor & Delivery unit as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel contract in Augusta, Georgia. This role supports high-acuity maternity services across vaginal births, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension. You’ll work within a structured L&D setting that includes 16 L&D beds and a dedicated 6-bed L&D triage area, using Epic (required) alongside Pyxis and SBAR for documentation and communication.

Shift coverage is 12-hour days (07:00–19:00) with 3 weekend shifts per contract, plus call requirements for AM & PM shifts—2 calls required per 6 weeks. Expect a 1:1–2 patient staffing range and the opportunity to collaborate closely with your unit team while caring for neonates/infants and adults. This assignment is built for experienced first-time travelers who bring at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience—1st timers are not accepted—and can confidently apply required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AWHONN Intermediate preferred). A single touch of fun: you’ll have a front-row seat to some of the busiest moments of the year—where teamwork matters most.
