Job Description:

Join a spirited team on a 13-week travel assignment in Uniontown, PA, working primarily with adult patients in a MedSurg setting that includes specialized units. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care during 12-hour day shifts, with a flexible self-scheduling approach that values your professional independence. The role involves handling a mix of post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, end-of-life, and chemo patients, often concurrently caring for both 'clean' and 'dirty' COVID patients in separate hallways. This position requires comfort with remote telemonitoring, managing vents like BiPAP and C-PAP, and administering Heparin and MSO4 as needed. Unique to this assignment is the opportunity to work within a close-knit environment that emphasizes teamwork, with a clinical manager doubling as charge nurse and nurse manager, and a careful balance of staffing that includes CNA support on days. Expect to take part in holiday rotations and weekend shifts, with some nights staffed by resource nurses handling full patient assignments.
