Job Description:

Join the team at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, as a perioperative nurse specializing in Preop holding and Day Surgery. This 13-week contract offers an engaging role where you'll prepare surgical patients for procedures, monitor their recovery post-surgery, and work with advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, ultrasound devices, and EKG machines. The shifts are 12-hour days, starting around 5:30 am, with options for 4-10 hour shifts on occasion. You'll be at the forefront of surgical patient care in a hospital known for its experienced staff and high-quality teamwork. Expect to handle IV starts, moderate sedation, nerve blocks, arterial and central lines, and Swan Ganz catheter procedures, with a focus on delivering efficient, safe care in a fast-paced environment. This assignment emphasizes technical skills and professional growth amid a supportive hospital setting.
