Job Description:

This step-down registered nurse position offers the opportunity to work in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) float pool, providing essential bedside care during 12-hour night shifts. The role involves managing an average census of 20-24 patients across 24 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio targeting 4:1. Nurses will be responsible for handling both adult and occasional pediatric patients, requiring adaptability and comfort with a variety of cases. The assignment emphasizes proficiency with EPIC, telemetry, and various advanced protocols, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. This is an energetic, fast-paced environment where your skillset makes a difference, and your ability to float within your scope is valued.
