Job Description:

This physically demanding yet rewarding role as a Physical Therapist in the Burn Unit at an acute care hospital in New Orleans offers a unique opportunity to work with burn patients ranging from 0-100% TBSA. You will be responsible for managing up to 8 patients daily, focusing on mobility, positioning, and preventing scarring and contractures. The schedule requires working Saturdays and Sundays, with the flexibility to choose three additional shifts during the week. Expect to float between inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting with evaluations and therapy sessions while providing critical interventions for patients with complex needs like pain management and surgical dressings. Scrubs are provided, and EPIC experience is required. This assignment is ideal for first-time travelers and those looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialized clinical setting.
