Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you on 12-hour night shifts at a reputable hospital located in Galesburg, Illinois. As a registered nurse on this contract, you'll work primarily in the Tele Intermediate Care unit, managing patients with conditions such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, and arrhythmias. The role involves taking certified patient assignments with a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5, and utilizing EPIC electronic medical records. You'll be part of a team that includes charge nurses, techs, and 24/7 pharmacy support, with the hospitalist or intensivist in-house during your shift. The assignment features floating expectations across units, and you will participate in both hospital and unit orientations. The shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week, with every other weekend worked and every other holiday scheduled. This role offers a mix of routine and complex care, with a focus on managing acute patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
