Job Description:

This ICU Registered Nurse position offers an opportunity to work in a mixed-unit setting caring for complex surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. You'll be managing high-acuity cases with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3, depending on the patient's condition. The role involves using Epic electronic health records, managing ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and IV medications like vasopressors and sedatives. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts totaling 48 hours per week over a 13-week contract, with occasional overnights in a fast-paced environment that demands strong critical thinking and teamwork. Previous ICU experience—preferably more than two years—is required, and experience with Impella, IABP, or CRRT is highly valued. Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC, with an expectation to obtain TNCC if not already certified before starting. You'll have support from nursing aides, resource nurses, and 24/7 RT coverage, with opportunities to float to other adult units if needed, pending your comfort level. The setting emphasizes efficiency and clinical excellence, with a focus on patient stabilization and complex case management that makes each shift meaningful.
