Job Description:

This Medical Surgical Registered Nurse role in Wilmington, NC, offers a challenging and rewarding contract opportunity for experienced nurses who thrive in high-acuity settings. You will be responsible for managing complex patient care, including administering heparin drips, blood products, and managing central and peripheral lines. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, with a focus on trauma, neuro, and orthopedic cases. This assignment is unique for its emphasis on critical care skills within a fast-paced unit, requiring thorough knowledge of EPIC documentation and experience with advanced procedures like PICC line management and wound care. Be prepared to work 48 hours per week over 13 weeks, with the possibility of floating within the unit to meet patient needs. RTO is restricted to 7 days maximum post-booking, and the environment expects adaptability during storm or disaster responses.
