Job Description:

Join a specialized Pediatric Stepdown unit in Chicago as a Registered Nurse, where you’ll work in a one-of-a-kind inpatient setting caring for children from 2 weeks to 18 years old. This role involves managing patients with complex needs, including ventilator dependence, tracheostomies, and G-tubes. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts with flexible scheduling options, either 3x12 or 4x12, and be part of a team that handles a variety of pediatric cases – no surgical or transitional patients here. Your daily routine will include working with technology-dependent children, utilizing Meditech charting, and demonstrating proficiency with vents, trachs, and G-tubes. The unit features a balanced staff-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, with a focus on delivering quality, technology-enabled pediatric care. The role offers a guaranteed 36 to 48 hours per week, and requires current Illinois RN licensure, along with certifications in BCLS and PALS.
