Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with Peds in Hastings, Nebraska, where you'll coordinate care for a diverse adult patient population, and occasionally, pediatric patients. This 13-week travel assignment involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with an expected commitment of 36 hours per week. You'll manage patients with conditions like CHF, respiratory failure, arrhythmias, and more, titrating medications like insulin and heparin, and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and telemonitoring will be integral to your workflow. The unit practices a team approach, with nurse aides and techs supporting your efforts, and you'll respond to occasional float to Medical-Surgical units. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience in a high-acuity setting while working within a well-organized team. No self-scheduling; shifts are coordinated with block scheduling, and flexibility is appreciated for weekends and holidays.
