Job Description:

This RN role for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units in Winston-Salem offers a unique chance to experience a busy teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma designation. You will be working 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week assignment, managing a variety of patient diagnoses including diabetes, GI issues, respiratory conditions, renal concerns, and post-surgical wounds. Your days will involve reading telemetry strips, managing IV lines, and caring for patients with chest tubes, traches, and PCA pumps. The role requires flexibility to float between two specialized units—one general medicine and one locked behavioral health—each with its own patient population and challenges. You'll thrive in a team-oriented environment that emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and collaboration, with support from experienced staff such as charge nurses, phlebotomists, and rapid response teams. This position is perfect for a seasoned traveler who enjoys varied clinical scenarios and is comfortable handling complex cases with moderate to high stress levels.
