Job Description:

This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-level trauma center nestled in Milwaukee, WI, recognized for its Magnet designation and comprehensive stroke care. You'll be providing specialized nursing support in a Level III NICU environment, caring for diverse patient types such as complex cardiac cases—including CHF, EP studies, and arrhythmias—as well as postoperative surgical patients. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, where you'll handle a manageable patient load with experienced support staff, including charge nurses and hospitalists. Expect to use your skills in telemetry, wound care, chest tubes, and tracheostomies, while charting predominantly through EPIC. This assignment blends clinical expertise with the rhythm of a bustling urban medical center, offering insights into advanced trauma and cardiac care.
