Job Description:

This contract opportunity places you in a busy post-surgical care unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where you'll provide essential RN services to adult and geriatric patients recovering from various surgeries. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and holidays. The role involves managing a patient load with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-7 at night, with a focus on fast-paced post-operative recovery. You'll be charting in Epic EMR, using Rovers for medication scanning, and managing Alaris pumps. The unit handles 10-15 admissions daily, with an average stay of 2-3 days, requiring quick thinking and multi-tasking. Prior trauma Level II experience, recent hospital Med Surg experience, and at least 2+ years of relevant work are essential.
