Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced telemetry unit in Lexington, KY, where you'll provide critical nursing care to orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients. This 23-bed medical-surgical ward often handles 10-20 post-operative cases daily, with some overflow from medical units, and features cardiac and oxygen monitoring capabilities. Your role involves managing both medical and surgical patient needs during 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity to float to other units based on your skillset. Candidates with several years of post-op surgical experience, especially in orthopedics and gastrointestinal surgeries, are preferred. EKG exams are required during onboarding, and the unit operates on a busy, high-energy schedule, requiring attention to detail and adaptability. Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted for this assignment.
