Job Description:

This respiratory therapy contract offers the opportunity to work in a bustling hospital environment, supporting adult, pediatric, and NICU patients across multiple units including NICU Level IIb, MICU, Peds, and Geriatrics. The role involves managing all types of respiratory treatments, performing arterial blood gases, and assisting with intubations—primarily assisting rather than performing them independently. The position requires floating between specialties such as ICU, emergency room, and inpatient floors, providing diverse and engaging experience. The assigned shifts are 12 hours, with a flexible schedule that may include rotating weekend and holiday duties. The contract spans 13 weeks, with a commitment of approximately 36 hours per week. Candidates should be prepared for self-scheduling and adaptable to fill gaps in staffing, including occasional mid-shift floating to sister facilities located within a 50-mile radius.
