Job Description:

Join a busy ICU team in Rapid City, South Dakota, for a 22-week travel assignment as a Registered Nurse specializing in critical care. This role involves providing care to complex ICU patients with a variety of diagnoses, including trauma, cardiac conditions, and post-surgical recovery. You will work 12-hour days, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours, and be part of a team that manages high-acuity patients with a patient ratio of up to 1:3 depending on the case. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with sophisticated equipment and procedures such as ventilator management, vasopressor administration, and proning. Candidates must have at least two years of ICU experience excluding travel and possess certifications like BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Epic experience is required, and comfort working a 48-hour week is essential. This role excludes first-time travelers and requires travel experience, ensuring you are well-prepared for this fast-paced environment. The unit is supported by skilled staff, including nurses, CNAs, RTs, and physicians, providing a collaborative work setting. The hospital offers orientation and the chance to develop your critical care skills further in a renowned ICU setting.
