Job Description:

This post-partum registered nurse role in Spokane, WA, offers a chance to work in a 23-bed Mother-Baby unit, caring for low-risk ante-partum and postpartum patients. The shift is 12 hours overnight, providing an engaging opportunity to support new mothers and their newborns during important early bonding and recovery periods. Your responsibilities will include assisting with breastfeeding, newborn vital assessments, managing bilirubin levels, and performing neonatal procedures such as phlebotomy and IV insertions. You will independently care for 3-4 mother-baby couplets, provide discharge instructions, and support postpartum families in a team-oriented environment that values helpfulness and kindness. This assignment also includes participation in unit support roles, such as charge nurse and lactation support, with orientation provided to ensure seamless integration into the unit's workflow.
