Job Description:

Join a busy ICU and progressive care unit in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a 13-week travel nursing assignment. You’ll be providing critical care for ventilated patients, managing IV drips such as vasopressors and sedation, assisting with intubations and line placements, and monitoring critically ill patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarctions, and pulmonary embolism. The role offers floating opportunities across ICU, PCU, and Medsurg units, with a typical patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3, making your skills in critical thinking and adaptability essential. Expect to work three 12-hour night shifts weekly and to participate in a comprehensive onboarding process, including policy reviews and Epic EMR training, to set you up for success. This isn’t your standard float — it’s a chance to hone your ICU expertise in a diverse, fast-paced setting while benefiting from the chance to work with advanced equipment like Phillips heart monitors, EKG machines, Dopplers, and Pyxis medication systems.
