Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in a busy Cardiac Intermediate Unit in Peoria, Illinois, working 12-hour day shifts. As part of the team, you will manage stepdown patients recovering from advanced cardiac procedures such as TAVRs, Ablations, and Mitral Clips, alongside ventilated and trached patients. Expect to handle complex equipment including Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, PICC lines, arterial lines, and ventilators. Your role is to provide critical assessment and rapid response, working at a pace that keeps you sharp and engaged. You’ll float to other ICU levels when needed, so versatility and confidence with cardiovascular ICU equipment and protocols are essential. From interpreting strips to titrating multiple drips, your expertise will be vital in a setting where fast decision-making is everyday practice.
