Job Description:

This contract opportunity positions you as a Registered Nurse in a specialized PCU unit focusing on acute leukemia and hematology. You will work a 12-hour rotating shift, primarily covering day shifts with occasional nights or a mix, depending on unit needs. Your responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, interpreting dysrhythmias, managing IV therapy and central lines, and maintaining infection prevention and fall prevention protocols. The role emphasizes patient safety and quick response skills, with a staffing goal of 1:4 to 1:5 ratios. This assignment offers a chance to deepen expertise in hematology cases and work in a fast-paced environment that keeps nurses on their toes. First-time travelers are welcome—just bring your two years of acute care experience and at least one year in PCU.
