Job Description:

Join a specialized Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team in Portland, Oregon, where you'll provide critical care to complex patient cases in a 16-bed unit. This role involves 3 nights a week, working 12-hour overnight shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., delivering advanced support to patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, end-stage liver or renal disease, and complex post-resuscitation needs. You'll be working alongside a dedicated team managing high-acuity cases, including those requiring palliative care and managing intricate diabetes management plans. A thorough orientation will prepare you to thrive in this challenging environment, and your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in this demanding yet rewarding setting. Your responsibilities will include monitoring critical vital signs, implementing complex treatment protocols, and collaborating closely with the care team to ensure optimal patient stability.
