Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau Hospital’s Short Stay Unit as a vital member of the healthcare team. This 13-week travel contract is perfect for experienced RNs skilled in observation units, MS, or Tele units. You’ll work 12-hour nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, floating across inpatient units including IMC and CTU as needed. The role involves interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, managing drips such as Cardiac medications, and caring for patients with conditions like COPD, dehydration, and post-op urology or GI issues. Expect an active environment with high admission and discharge rates, and a patient load of approximately 1:4. Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude are essential, as the unit often operates with low census in 4-hour increments. Your contributions will be critical to providing a seamless experience for each patient, and you'll work alongside a team committed to delivering excellent care.
