Job Description:

This 16-week travel contract is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurses looking for a challenging yet rewarding assignment at a prominent Magnet and Level I Trauma Center in St. Louis. You will be working in a busy GI/GU unit, providing outstanding care to surgical patients with diagnoses including colon resection, cancer, bladder issues, and more. Your responsibilities will include managing IV therapy, phlebotomy, central lines, and patient monitoring through telemetry, with a focus on maintaining patient stability and comfort. The role demands strong documentation skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the opportunity to enhance your skills in a high-acuity environment that also handles ostomy and colostomy care, enteral feeding, and complex medication management. Expect to be challenged and supported as you float within scope and manage a variety of advanced procedures, including CBI, TURPS, and patient mobility protocols.
