Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in a rural hospital setting in Lufkin, TX, working 12-hour night shifts. As a registered nurse on the Med/Tele floor, you'll manage patients with conditions like CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD, often working with high-flow oxygen support such as CPAP and BiPAP. The role emphasizes team collaboration and adaptability, as staff turnover is occasionally challenging, but the leadership remains stable. You will read strips, work with PCTs, and contribute to patient care in a community-focused environment without the need for titrating drips. The schedule is managed daily by the facility, with weekend and holiday requirements, offering a unique opportunity to experience rural healthcare while making a meaningful impact.
