Job Description:

This ICU RN assignment in Iron Mountain, MI, offers a steady 12-hour night shift over a 13-week contract. You'll be responsible for managing critically ill patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, septic shock, and arrhythmias, often requiring ventilator support and titratable drips like Levophed and Propofol. The role involves floating to medical-surgical units as needed, troubleshooting vents and monitors, and collaborating with in-house hospitalists and tele-ICU physicians. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of ICU experience in rural or trauma-level settings, is comfortable with limited resources, and can take on a full charge nurse role while maintaining patient ratios. Expect a mix of autonomous work and team coordination in a fast-paced environment that values adaptability and clinical competence.
