Job Description:

Join a dedicated perioperative team at a prominent Level 1 trauma center in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a PACU Registered Nurse. This 13-week contract involves working four 12-hour midshift shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, providing critical post-anesthesia care for a wide variety of surgical, neuro, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, gynecology, plastics, and pediatric patients. The role offers engaging work within a bustling, fast-paced environment where you’ll handle high-acuity cases and critical care patients, including intubated PEDS cases. Expect to work closely with a skilled team, managing an average daily census of 65-85 patients, and participate in a flexible call schedule of 12-24 hours every six weeks, including one holiday shift. Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BCLS are required. This assignment is perfect for seasoned PACU nurses seeking a dynamic clinical challenge, with an emphasis on working in a facility that handles a diverse range of surgical specialties.
