Job Description:

Join our team as an IMC Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in Columbia, South Carolina. This role offers an engaging opportunity to provide specialized care to adult patients in an Intermediate Intensive Care (IICU) setting, including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases. You’ll be handling cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, ventilator support, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications. The unit’s acuity demands proficiency in emergency response and telemetry, making this an ideal assignment for experienced ICU professionals seeking a rewarding challenge. You will have the option of working a 13 or 26-week contract, with an emphasis on critical care skills and adherence to patient safety protocols. Expect to work approximately 36 hours per week, with a schedule that requires six weekend shifts per six-week period. Flexibility to float to other units as needed, provided documentation of competencies is met, ensures variety within your schedule. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required, along with an active South Carolina or multistate license. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time travelers with at least three years of relevant experience, including ICU or IICU background with an acuity of at least 1:3.
