Job Description:

Join a vibrant medical-surgical unit as a Telemetry Registered Nurse, where your expertise will be essential in providing comprehensive care to orthopedic, spine, and gastrointestinal post-op patients. You'll work in a bustling 23-bed environment that handles 10-20 post-surgical cases daily, including some overflow from medical units. Your role involves monitoring cardiac and oxygen levels, performing EKG exams during onboarding, and floating to other units based on skillset. This assignment offers a chance to experience a fast-paced setting with varied patient needs, making every shift engaging and impactful. Experience in caring for post-op surgical patients is required, with a preference for those who have worked with orthopedic and gastrointestinal cases. First-time travelers with relevant experience may also be considered. The shift runs overnight from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, over a 14-week period, with an average weekly commitment of 36 hours. Expect to work three out of five winter holidays, contributing to the team’s continuity during busy times.
