Job Description:

This emergency department contract places you in a Level III trauma center with around 40 patients treated daily. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, including options for 1000-2200, 1200-0000, or 1800-0600 shifts, depending on scheduling needs. The role involves managing multiple patient scenarios such as abdominal pain, falls, chest pain, and pediatrics, with a nurse-to-patient ratio that peaks at 3-4:1 during busy hours. You'll be responsible for assessing patients, managing common drips like antibiotics and cardiac medications, and utilizing advanced equipment including CT and MRI nearby. Prior ED experience of three or more years, with certifications like BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS/ENPC, is preferred. The environment requires strong communication and assessment skills, and prior travel experience is especially valued. This assignment offers the unique vantage point of working in a busy, well-equipped ER that handles a diverse case load and collaborates closely with physicians, mid-level practitioners, RTs, and other support staff. The clinical activities focus on patient assessment, lab draws, and transport duties — no direct patient care is mandated.
