Job Description:

This is a timely opportunity for RNs to work in a fast-paced stepdown unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as heart failure, stroke, and respiratory distress. The role involves managing complex cases, titrating drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, interpreting telemetry strips, and troubleshooting equipment like CPAP and BiPap. The staff operates on a cyclic schedule of 12-hour night shifts, with a friendly teamwork environment that requires a positive attitude and patient-centered approach. You will experience a diverse caseload with frequent admits and discharges, delivering critical care in a setting that values safety, efficiency, and collaboration. Unique to this assignment is the emphasis on skills like telemetry interpretation and the requirement to pass a skills exam during orientation, with all necessary resources provided.
