Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau Hospital as a PACU RN and help patients recover from anesthesia in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care setting. This 13-week contract offers four 10-hour shifts each week, primarily scheduled during daytime hours with some variability. You will manage a 1:2 patient ratio across 14 bays, providing attentive post-operative care for a diverse caseload including general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, PV, and orthopedic cases. Your expertise will be essential in stabilizing ICU patients before their transfer, with a focus on cardiac and pediatric cases. Experience with electronic charting systems like Epic is strongly preferred, and recent hospital PACU experience is required. This assignment promises a rewarding experience in a hospital environment that values skilled recovery nurses and offers opportunities for call shifts with guaranteed hours, as well as low census unbillable hours. Be prepared to demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a thorough understanding of post-anesthesia recovery care.
