Job Description:

Join our team as a cardiovascular stepdown nurse at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, and experience the excitement of working in a dedicated cardiovascular progressive care unit (CVPC) on E4 in the Heart Tower. This 13-week contract offers a chance to focus on post-surgical patients from open heart and vascular procedures, including CABG, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repairs, and fem-pop bypass. Your day will involve monitoring critical patients on telemetry with procedures like epidural and chest tube management, IV infusion regulation, and cardiac medication administration. The shift is a 12-hour day, giving you ample time to enjoy the scenic surroundings after your shift’s end. This role is perfect for compassionate, flexible nurses comfortable in a fast-paced environment who enjoy teamwork and precision in patient care.
