Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract offers an opportunity to work as a Neuro Surgical Nurse in a hospital setting specializing in neuro diagnoses and procedures. The role involves scheduled night shifts of 12 hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6. Expect to collaborate with a team during storm or disaster situations, and be part of a flexible scheduling environment that accommodates blocked shifts and unit orientation. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of nursing experience, possess BCLS certification, and pass EKG testing prior to start. Neuro experience and NIH certification are preferred, but not required. This position emphasizes active participation in the neuro surgical unit, documentation via EPIC and Pyxis, and effective communication using SBAR. The role requires adaptability, especially during catastrophic events, with some consolidation to the central office possible mid-contract.
