Job Description:
Join a fast-paced ED holding support position in Wilmington, NC, where you'll work as a float RN in the Emergency Department's inpatient holding area. This 13-week contract involves night shifts, with 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, providing ample opportunity to experience a variety of adult medical/surgical diagnoses. You'll assess and monitor patients awaiting inpatient beds, managing high acuity cases that require skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and various airway management techniques. The role emphasizes flexibility—float to ED and MedSurg units as needed—and requires quick thinking, especially during storm or disaster events. It's a unique chance to contribute to critical care support while enjoying the camaraderie of a dedicated team.
