Job Description:

This CVOR Registered Nurse position offers a specialized surgical environment focusing on cardiac and orthopedic/neuro procedures. You will work in the main OR when no cardiac cases are scheduled, but your primary responsibility involves providing expert cardiac scrub support during on-call periods, including night and weekend shifts. The role requires at least two years of recent cardiac scrub experience, and you'll need to be comfortable with both cardiac cases and complex orthopedic or neuro surgeries. The schedule consists of four 10-hour days each week, with a mix of on-call duties that total about seven days per month. The on-call shifts are structured to include one weekend and one weekday evening or night per week, with the ability to handle emergent situations as needed. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to blend routine surgical support with the excitement of responding to cardiac emergencies outside regular hours.
