Job Description:

This travel healthcare assignment is a temp-to-perm opportunity for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Laboratory Scientists seeking a hands-on role in a rural laboratory setting. The role involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests including microbiology, blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microscopy. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating various equipment such as Vitek, Vitros 5600, and CoagSys, as well as performing manual blood bank procedures like gram stains and plating specimens. Flexibility with shift timing—either 12:00-21:00 or 11:00-20:00, Monday through Friday—is essential. Experience with Cerner (EHR), satellite systems, and micro sample processing will make you stand out. The position requires a recent phlebotomy background, BLS certification, and a self-sufficient approach to bench work. The assignment promises an engaging experience in a rural health environment, with the potential for transition into a permanent role after 13 weeks.
