Job Description:

Join us for an engaging 13-week contract working as a Registered Nurse in Omaha's renowned Oncology and PCU units. This role involves night shifts—12 hours of dedicated care, where you'll manage adult oncology and trauma patients with a team that values compassionate, patient-centered service. You'll be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, sometimes floating to other med/surg units, and handling titratable drips like insulin and Cardizem. This assignment offers the chance to sharpen your oncology skills in a hospital setting that emphasizes teamwork and respect, all while enjoying Omaha’s welcoming community and local charm.

Job Specifics:

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 0630p–0730a
Duration: 13 weeks, averaging 36 hours per week
Note: Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of oncology or PCU experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and are expected to perform well during a pass/fail skills exam on orientation day. A valid driver’s license is required to verify compliance with the radius rule. This role offers a self-scheduling approach, with accommodations for floating to similar care units, utilizing equipment such as high-flow respiratory devices and IV pumps. The EMR system used is Epic, facilitating streamlined documentation and communication.
