Job Description:

Join a dedicated team as a General Medicine Med Surg RN on a 13-week travel contract in Lynchburg, VA. This night shift position involves caring for a diverse patient population with conditions such as GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. You'll be responsible for managing a patient load typically around six per nurse, with opportunities to take on charge responsibilities and receive additional pay and training for these roles. Expect to work alongside supportive ancillary staff, including lab draw technicians, EKG techs, CNAs, and supply teams. This assignment provides a chance to enhance your skills in a teaching hospital setting, where you'll often interact with students and new hires. Prior travel experience is required, and flexibility to work at least one major holiday is necessary. The position offers a mix of acute patient care and unit support, with potential for longer assignments to cover holiday staffing needs.
