Join us for an engaging 13-week travel assignment in the medical-surgical and step-down unit of a reputable hospital located in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role is perfect for a registered nurse with at least 2 years of acute care experience, ready to step into a fast-paced environment where every shift offers a new challenge. This position involves night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, with a focus on managing a variety of patient cases—including post-surgical care, cardiac monitoring, and neurological patients—while supporting a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Note: This role involves working in both the stepdown and medical-surgical units with patient ratios of 1:3 and 1:5-6 during float days. Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, and NIH. Candidates must pass an EKG competency exam before arrival and have recent experience in acute care. The role offers a mix of orientation shifts and expected participation in holiday coverage, with opportunities for scheduled time off up to 7 days.
