Job Description:

This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience, ready to step into a night shift role in a bustling PCU setting. You’ll be working 12-hour night shifts, providing care for high-acuity patients on ventilators, including those with pulmonary conditions and neurological challenges like CVA and traumatic brain injury. The assignment offers a chance to put your ventilator expertise to work and handle complex cases such as tracheostomy management and ventilator troubleshooting. While the role involves a busy, fast-paced environment, it promises a chance to develop specialized skills in cardiac telemetry, GI care, and renal management, all while floating across departments as needed. Expect an engaging, challenging experience in an advanced tertiary care hospital celebrated for its magnet recognition and trauma level status. Duration: 13 weeks, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours and guaranteed hours of 3 shifts per period. The schedule includes a combination of day and night shifts on weekends, with a focus on high-acuity care including ventilated patients and complex respiratory cases.
