Job Description:

Join a busy Med-Surg unit in Durham, North Carolina, for a 13-week travel contract. This position requires providing top-notch nursing care to surgical patients, including orthopedics, general, spinal, and gender reassignment cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, three days per week, with opportunities to occasionally cover weekends and holidays. The unit features a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with nurse aides supporting the team, and employs advanced monitoring tools like BiPAP and CPAP. Prior experience reading EKG strips, managing tele monitors, and familiarity with ventilator equipment are essential. This assignment offers a chance to apply your skills in a fast-paced setting while enjoying a collaborative team environment. Expect a dynamic, hands-on role focused on delivering safe, efficient patient care during overnight hours.
