Job Description:

Join our pediatric nursing team at Almost Home Kids in Peoria, Illinois, for a 15-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. This position offers the chance to care for children with complex medical needs, including cerebral palsy, chromosomal disorders, and trach/vent patients, in a setting that feels more like a home than a hospital. You'll be responsible for managing vents, assisting with medical treatments, and providing compassionate care for children with diverse diagnoses. The role requires at least one year of Pediatric ICU experience, and you'll coordinate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and in-house medical staff to deliver quality care. The schedule includes guaranteed orientation hours, with no floating required but potential at times to Pediatric ICU at Children’s Hospital. Expect to work every other or every third weekend and participate in holiday rotations. Scrubs are provided, and the environment encourages a passion for caring for kids with medical complexities in a supportive, home-like atmosphere.
