Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract at a prominent healthcare facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. This assignment involves working 8-hour days from noon to 8:30 PM, with a weekly commitment of 40 hours. In this role, you will be responsible for providing post-anesthesia care to patients transitioning from surgery, monitoring recovery, and ensuring patient safety during this critical phase. Unique to this assignment is the potential to be placed on an "Emergency Team," requiring flexibility and readiness to respond to emergent situations that may extend your shift or involve relief duties. Your expertise will help support patient throughput in the recovery unit while adhering to a strict nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:4 during overflow scenarios. You’ll be joining a team that values readiness, professionalism, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
