Job Description:

Join a dedicated 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit in Wausau, Wisconsin, as a travel RN for an engaging 13-week contract. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, offering a chance to experience the unique rhythms of overnight patient care. You’ll be managing a variety of complex cases such as sepsis, trauma, GI bleeds, and stroke, often working with ventilators and trachs in a fast-paced environment. The unit requires a resilient nurse comfortable with frequent changes, who can float to higher acuity units when needed, and handle a patient ratio of 4:1. The position features guaranteed hours of 48 per week, with overtime after 48 hours, and includes every other weekend and holiday shifts. Familiarity with EPIC charting is preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or intermediate care experience is essential. This assignment offers the opportunity to hone your skills in a stable yet challenging setting while exploring the scenic landscapes of Wisconsin.
