Job Description:

Join a surgical medical care team at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, Indiana, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical units. This 13-week contract offers a well-rounded experience working with post-surgical patients, including whipples, vascular cases, pre/post heart caths, bariatric, ENT, and podiatry. You’ll be providing hands-on patient assessments, managing IVs, chest tubes, drains, wound care, and administering blood products. The schedule features 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime after 52 hours. Working actively within a busy, team-oriented environment, you'll also float within your skill set across nearby campuses as needed. This role emphasizes strong critical thinking and resilience, with a chance to precept students or new hires and develop your professional skills in a teaching hospital setting.
