Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract offers an opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse in a busy Med/Surg unit of a reputable hospital. The role involves night shifts (12 hours) from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a focus on managing a variety of patient cases including post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and trauma-level II cases. You will perform assessments, administer medications such as Heparin drips and blood products, manage chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, and assist with tracheostomy care. The position emphasizes critical thinking and adaptability, often requiring float within the campus or between nearby campuses with notice. It's a chance to gain experience in a teaching environment that may involve precepting students and new hires. The assignment promotes resilience and social engagement, set in a facility with experienced leadership and supportive staff.
