Job Description:

Join Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, as a traveling RN in a step-down unit specializing in high-acuity, cardiac-focused care. This 13-week assignment offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment where meticulous interpretation of cardiac rhythms and proficiency with cardiac drips like Insulin, Milrinone, Dobutamine, and others are essential. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three nights per week, gaining valuable experience in procedures such as catheterizations, stent placements, and managing complex cardiac patients. This role is perfect for RNs with at least 18 months of recent cardiac telemetry experience and a solid understanding of high-level cardiac care, including LVAD and heart transplant patients. Expect to handle high patient acuity with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5, frequent admissions, and a need for independent rhythm interpretation. The assignment ensures opportunities for professional growth in a dedicated cardiovascular setting, where your skills in telemetry interpretation and cardiac drips will be put to good use. Travelers should be prepared to float within similar cardiac units as needed but will not float to monitor tech roles. Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required.
