Job Description:

Join a busy OR team in Alexandria, VA, for a 13-week travel healthcare contract as a registered nurse specializing in perioperative services. You'll be working 10-hour days in a hospital with seven surgical suites, handling an average of 15-25 cases daily. Your responsibilities will include scrubbing for a variety of surgeries such as general, colorectal, orthopedics (hips, knees, shoulders, spine), urology, plastics, and ENT, with a focus on orthopedic total joints, ortho spine, and laparoscopic procedures using DaVinci Xi. While this role emphasizes surgical assistance, you'll also be managing equipment and sterilization protocols, ensuring surgical flow runs smoothly. The hospital provides scrubs and uses EPIC electronic medical records. An upbeat attitude and a meticulous approach will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment that operates 24/7 but is staffed with an on-call team during off-hours and weekends.
