Job Description:

Join this CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant role in Springfield, Illinois, where you'll support high-level cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and general surgeries. Your day will start early, assisting in the operating room from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM, with a focus on complex procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and vascular repairs. This assignment offers the chance to work within a well-equipped hospital environment, floating within scope to meet facility needs, and participating in a call rotation that adds a bit of excitement to your routine. Previous inpatient OR experience and certifications like BLS are required, and first-timers are welcome to apply. Expect to handle a caseload of about 8 cases daily, contributing your expertise in maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring patient safety.
