Job Description:

This NICU nursing contract offers a chance to work within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a well-regarded hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota. As a registered nurse, you’ll be responsible for caring for neonates of all gestational ages, including those requiring high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and total body cooling. Day-to-day tasks involve managing vent settings, initiating IV access, and providing specialized neonatal interventions. This role stands out because of the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners, along with supporting staff such as CNAs, RTs, and lactation consultants. The shift structure allows up to 48 hours a week, with a focus on weekdays and occasional weekend coverage, and minimal on-call responsibilities. This assignment provides a chance to deepen your neonatal skills in a teaching hospital environment with a Level II trauma designation, all while experiencing the picturesque surroundings of South Dakota.
